Are There Any Rock and Roll Thanksgiving Songs?

Every Halloween when the munchkins come to the door to beg for candy I have on the CD player Tubular Bells by Michael Oldfield, Welcome To My Nightmare by Alice Cooper and Grim Grinning Ghosts, the theme song of the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland. For Christmas The Trans Siberian Orchestra is on the player along with the Venture’s Christmas AlbumThe Jethro Tull Christmas Album and a great CD that has become a family tradition produced by someone I met while recording; Gridlock Christmas by the Hollytones which is a Christmas song spoof. But what can I play at Thanksgiving?
Thanksgiving is an American holiday although Canada has its own version as well but unlike Christmas and Halloween it’s not a big consumer holiday. Black Friday is the manufactured spending spree at Thanksgiving, except for food, but traditionally gifts are not exchanged. It is mostly concerned with history as opposed to religion and as is the case with a lot of historical events there are always some people who choose to forget such as the native Americans. Still, it is a holiday and should have a rock & roll theme song.
There may very well be a Country music song for Thanksgiving that I wouldn’t know about. There is actually a “Black National Anthem” that I didn’t know existed. I’m not kidding. Google it, it’s called Lift Every Voice and Sing and has been around since 1900. Maybe I’m just ignorant and the only one who didn’t know about it, in that case there may be a Thanksgiving Song I don’t know about as well.
Since Thanksgiving is a national day of feasting, Weird Al Yankovic’s Eat It might be an appropriate theme song although it doesn’t reference Thanksgiving directly. Adam Sandler’s The Thanksgiving Song is a total spoof and is almost anti-Thanksgiving. It certainly doesn’t set the festive mood required for a true holiday song. It’s not rock and roll either as are the various Thanksgiving Hymns and Windham Hill style selections. Metallica will record with Lou Reed but have never recorded a Thanksgiving tune, what’s with that?
